Andhra Pradesh stops liquor shop extensions, invites fresh applications

The Andhra Pradesh Excise Department halted further deadline extensions for the renewal of A4 liquor shop licences for 2026-27.

Out of 3,650 notified shops, 2,906 completed payments by the deadline, while fresh applications for unrenewed shops open on September 24.

Submissions for remaining shops close on October 1, with final licence allotments through a draw of lots scheduled for October 5.
