Google Patches Critical Zero-Day Vulnerability in Chrome Browser

Google released an urgent security update for Chrome to fix CVE-2026-85046, a high-severity type-confusion flaw in the V8 JavaScript and WebAssembly engine.

The vulnerability, reported by researcher Salvatore Gulizia, allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code inside the browser's sandboxed renderer process.

Users are urged to update to Chrome version 152.0.7977.82 or higher immediately, as Google confirmed the flaw is being actively exploited in the wild.
