The Fort Plain Central School District officially appointed a new elementary school principal on August 6 to lead the upcoming 2026-27 academic year.
The selection process involved a committee of parents, teachers, and board members who reviewed over 50 candidates for the leadership position.
The new principal is expected to focus on improving literacy rates and integrating new technology into the elementary curriculum starting this September.
