India's Telecom Subscriber Base Hits 1.35 Billion in July

India's total wireless subscriber base grew by 0.43 percent in July 2026, reaching 1.287 billion mobile users according to TRAI data released on August 28.

Reliance Jio leads the market with a 39.29 percent share and 506.03 million subscribers, followed by Bharti Airtel with a 38.01 percent share and 489.49 million users.

The combined 5G Fixed Wireless Access subscriber base increased by 272,820 users during the month, bringing the total count to 13.21 million across the country.
