Indian grandmaster Praggnanandhaa Rameshbabu secured his first Saint Louis Rapid & Blitz title on August 6, 2026, finishing 1.5 points ahead of runner-up Javokhir Sindarov.
Praggnanandhaa earned $50,000 and 13 Grand Chess Tour points for his victory, moving him into second place in the overall tour standings behind Fabiano Caruana.
The win marks a significant turnaround for the 20-year-old, who previously finished 11th at the Tata Steel Masters and tied for 6th at the Candidates Tournament earlier this year.
