Protests Planned Against RSS Chief's New York Event

RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat is scheduled to speak at the 'Universal Oneness Celebration' at Madison Square Garden in New York this Saturday, an event expected to draw 5,000 attendees.

Human rights groups and activists are protesting the event, citing the RSS's history of exclusionary ideology and its role as the ideological parent of India's ruling Bharatiya Janata Party.

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani has publicly opposed the event, stating that the RSS movement is predicated on an exclusionary vision that contradicts his secular upbringing.
