DMK Councillor Booked Over Defamatory Remarks Against Tamil Nadu CM

The Esplanade Police in Chennai registered a case against DMK councillor Sudha Deenadayalan for allegedly using objectionable language against Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay.

The complaint was filed on October 18, 2026, by TVK Harbour area secretary Udhayakumar regarding remarks made at an October 7 event organised by local DMK functionaries.

Police have launched an investigation into the complaint, which alleged the remarks were intended to provoke conflict between groups and create public tension.
