The Delhi High Court upheld the Delhi government's policy of providing direct cash assistance for school uniforms to students admitted under EWS and disadvantaged categories in private schools.
In an October 12 order, the court dismissed a review petition by the NGO Justice For All challenging its earlier judgment that accepted the government's practical difficulties regarding physical uniform distribution.
The court directed authorities to ensure adequate funds are disbursed well in time to secure the child's ability to obtain the prescribed uniform.
