India to Host 18th BRICS Summit in New Delhi This Weekend

India will host the 18th BRICS Summit at Bharat Mandapam on September 12–13, 2026, marking the bloc's 20th anniversary since its establishment.

The grouping now includes eleven member countries that collectively represent approximately 49% of the world's population and 39% of global GDP.

The summit will feature high-level discussions on strengthening intra-BRICS cooperation, with Chinese President Xi Jinping expected to attend the New Delhi event.
