Supermarket refrigeration systems were targeted in cyberattacks, causing temperatures to rise to 50 degrees Celsius across multiple European stores.
The incidents initially affected 150 Intermarche stores in France before repeating three weeks later in supermarkets across Belgium, Estonia, Finland, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Portugal, Germany, and Sweden.
Authorities are investigating the source and motive behind the widespread digital security breaches affecting commercial cold storage infrastructure.
