Indian benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty recovered from lower morning levels during Thursday's trading session despite a 25 basis point US Fed rate hike.
Nifty bounced back from an intraday low of 23,193 to hit 23,325, while BSE Sensex touched a high of 74,589.
Analysts attributed the upward momentum to markets having already discounted the rate hike, cooling crude prices, and strong primary market activity led by the NSE IPO.
