The Jharkhand government cancelled 44 recruitment examinations on August 18, 2026, following widespread student protests over alleged irregularities in the selection process.
The cancelled exams include positions for drug inspectors, assistant professors, civil judges, and forest range officers, covering recruitment conducted by JPSC and agency TDPL since 2014.
A committee led by IAS officer Amitabh Kaushal will submit a reform report in two months, while the state plans to request a fast-track court for related legal cases.
