Penguin Random House India Denies Publishing Sonia Gandhi's Memoir

Penguin Random House India clarified on August 28, 2026, that it is not the publisher of Sonia Gandhi’s memoir, 'Belonging: A Journey of Love', in India.

The publisher stated that it remained willing to publish the book and that discussions regarding fact-checking and editorial recommendations are a normal part of the publishing process.

Alfred A. Knopf, a division of Penguin Random House, previously announced the book's global publication for November 10 with an initial print run of 1,00,000 copies.
