CBFC Grants 'Awarapan 2' U/A 16+ Certificate with Cuts

The Central Board of Film Certification granted a U/A 16+ certificate to 'Awarapan 2' on August 5, 2026, following mandatory cuts to scenes of extreme violence and drug consumption.

The film, starring Emraan Hashmi and Disha Patani, has a total runtime of 140 minutes and 20 seconds and is scheduled for a theatrical release on August 14.

The production was required to add anti-drug disclaimers and tickers to scenes of substance use, and it remains the only major Hindi film this season without an 'A' rating.
