Apple supplier Pegatron confirmed that the base iPhone 18 model will not launch in 2026, with a new release window scheduled for Q1 2027.
The delay is attributed to ongoing chipset and memory shortages, as well as bottlenecks in the semiconductor manufacturing process affecting smartphone production.
While the base iPhone 18 is delayed, Apple is still expected to launch the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and a folding iPhone Ultra this September.
