Kolkata Hotel Fire Kills 9 Bangladeshi Nationals; AC Blast Suspected

A massive fire broke out at a hotel on Free School Street in Kolkata early Wednesday, resulting in the deaths of 9 Bangladeshi nationals and leaving 6 others injured.

Preliminary investigations by local authorities suggest the blaze was triggered by an air conditioner blast, which rapidly spread through the building's interior.

Emergency services successfully rescued several guests, including a family of 12 who survived by utilizing the hotel's balcony, while the injured are currently receiving treatment at nearby hospitals.
