The Kerala government approved the J.C. Daniel film city project to be set up on a 30-acre land parcel at Kinfra’s Petrochemicals Park in Ambalamugal, Kochi, at an estimated cost of ₹100 crore.
Tender proceedings to finalise the design framework under a public-private partnership model will begin soon following a proposal by the Ernakulam district administration.
The project will include studio floors, entertainment and gaming zones, exhibition centres, screening facilities, and virtual production studios in memory of the pioneer of Malayalam cinema.
