Sri Lanka's Pathirage claimed the top spot with a third-round throw of 88.14m, marking his third consecutive victory over the two-time Olympic medallist Chopra in this year's competition circuit.
Following this result, Chopra climbed to the top five in the season-ending Diamond League Finals standings, with the final event scheduled to take place in Brussels on September 4-5.
