Google Rolls Out Registered App Stores Programme Outside the US

Google announced that eligible app stores outside the U.S. can apply for its Registered App Stores programme to access simplified installation perks, launching in December.

Once registered, users can install apps from those third-party stores with a single tap, offering a choice beyond Google’s own marketplace.

Participation costs start at $10,000 per year, and the programme is supported only on Android devices running the latest versions of Android 17.
