Delhi University Faces High Vacancy Rates Across Multiple Colleges

Delhi University is reporting hundreds of vacant undergraduate seats, including 800 at Bhagini Nivedita College and 546 at Satyawati College, following two rounds of admissions.

Faculty members attribute the vacancies to the centralized CUET admission process, which has prolonged the timeline and complicated seat filling for various academic programs.

Changing student preferences toward skill-based courses and specific campus locations are contributing to the gaps, despite the university remaining a highly coveted destination for applicants.
