The Akal Takht on Friday declared AAP MLA Manwinder Singh Giaspura 'Tankhaiya' over his alleged objectionable remarks against Sikh religious institutions and personalities.
Giaspura had faced opposition and was denied entry to the secretariat on October 12 after allegedly making derogatory statements and claiming he faced caste-based discrimination.
Other AAP legislators appeared at the secretariat on Friday to seek forgiveness, clarifying that no one has ever been prevented from visiting based on caste.
