Eleven rescue personnel went missing on Wednesday after two boats capsized in the overflowing Bethupalli tank in Khammam district while attempting to rescue stranded fishermen.
A preliminary boat carrying three fire services personnel developed a technical snag before a larger team deployed in two boats, both of which subsequently capsized.
Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy directed authorities to intensify rescue operations, with NDRF teams and drones deployed to trace the missing personnel.
