Five-time Emmy-winning actor Michael J. Fox received the Bob Hope Humanitarian Award at the 78th Primetime Emmy Awards for his Parkinson's research advocacy.
Julianna Margulies presented the award to Fox, who founded The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research in 2000.
The humanitarian honour is presented by the Television Academy and the Bob & Dolores Hope Foundation to individuals demonstrating decades-long altruism.
