First Volunteer Vaccinated in New Ebola Vaccine Trial

The first volunteer was vaccinated on July 29, 2026, as part of the world's first clinical trial for a vaccine targeting the Bundibugyo ebolavirus strain.

The trial, supported by the University of Oxford, follows a surge in cases in Congo, where the total tally has now crossed 3,200.
