Authorities in Jaipur razed a dilapidated government primary school building in Rampura-Kanwarpura village on September 2, 2026, to facilitate the construction of a new facility.
The state government sanctioned ₹18 lakh for the project, including ₹6 lakh from the MLA local area development fund, after the building was declared unsafe in September 2025.
The demolition follows a safety audit of 65,308 state schools, with the government proposing a ₹12,335.90 crore infrastructure plan to address 3,768 identified dilapidated buildings over five years.
