Sensex Plummets 1,248 Points and Nifty Slips Amid Crude Oil Surge

Indian equity benchmarks fell sharply on Thursday as the Sensex tumbled 1,247.71 points to close at 73,580.54.

The Nifty declined 383.70 points to settle at 23,063.10 following a spike in crude oil prices and selling in major stocks.

Brent crude jumped 2.36% to $105.4 per barrel, while the U.S. 10-year Treasury yield climbed to around 5.11%.
