ICC Sanctions Prabath Jayasuriya for Colombo Test Conduct

Sri Lanka spinner Prabath Jayasuriya received an official reprimand and one demerit point from the ICC for breaching the Code of Conduct during the second Test against India.

The sanction follows an incident on August 24 where Jayasuriya struck boundary wedges with his bat after being dismissed on the final delivery of the day.

Jayasuriya is the third player sanctioned from this Test, joining Yashasvi Jaiswal and Asitha Fernando, who were each fined 25% of their match fees for an on-field altercation.
