Zoe Kazan Adapts 'East of Eden' As A Gorgeous Netflix Miniseries

Zoe Kazan has adapted John Steinbeck's historical family saga 'East of Eden' into a seven-episode miniseries currently streaming on Netflix.

The series opens in 1899 with an injured Cathy, played by Florence Pugh, arriving at the doorstep of brothers Adam and Charles Trask.

While praised for its cinematography and performances by Pugh and Hoon Lee, the adaptation retains some of the novel's original narrative limitations regarding Cathy's character arc.
