JNUSU Protests at IIT Delhi Following Student Death

The Jawaharlal Nehru University Students’ Union held a protest outside IIT Delhi on Sunday following the death of a 31-year-old second-year MSc student on August 22.

Protesters cited this as the second student death at the institute this year and demanded an independent inquiry, full transparency on counseling infrastructure, and the implementation of the Rohith Act.

IIT Delhi issued a statement confirming the death and stated that the Delhi police are currently investigating the incident while the institute provides support to the bereaved family.
