Rahul Sankrityan's 19th-century period film Ranabaali, starring Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna, opened in theatres on Friday to lukewarm reviews.
The film collected ₹7.76 crore on its opening day according to Sacnilk, with the bulk of earnings coming from its Telugu version.
The opening day haul failed to beat Vijay's previous releases Kingdom at ₹15 crore and Liger at ₹15.95 crore, though it outperformed The Family Star.
