RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat Discusses Gen Z Protests and Social Media

RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat stated on August 6, 2026, that grievances raised by Gen Z are genuine and that protests serve as a valid democratic method for reaching consensus.

Addressing a youth conference in Mumbai, Bhagwat warned against banning social media, arguing that society must instead develop self-discipline and verify information to combat the rise of AI-generated fake content.

Bhagwat also advocated for increasing national education spending to six per cent of the GDP, emphasizing that education should be structured as a public service rather than a commercial business.
