Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi announced cash rewards of ₹11 lakh each for the Indian women's hockey team players and ₹5.5 lakh each for the support staff.
The team secured the gold medal at the Asian Games 2026 by defeating defending champions China 1-0, ending a 44-year wait and qualifying for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
The Odisha government will remain the official sponsor of both the Indian men's and women's national hockey teams till 2036.
