Andhra Pradesh's Counter Intelligence Cell arrested Indian Navy sailor Pradeep Mukherjee and contractual driver Annam Sai Varaprasad for allegedly sharing maritime intelligence with Pakistani Intelligence Operatives.
Investigators have questioned 13 Navy personnel and identified 18 suspects in the ongoing online entrapment probe involving the Eastern Naval Command in Visakhapatnam.
The case follows a string of similar defense honey-trap investigations, including a 2019 Navy operation, a May 2026 IAF Wing Commander arrest in Delhi, and 2023 DRDO scientist Pradeep Kurulkar case.
