Neeru Dhanda became the first Indian woman to win an individual trap gold at the Asian Games, scoring 28 out of 30 hits in Aichi.
The 26-year-old shooter surpassed the previous Asian record of 24, leading from start to finish ahead of China's Sun Yunong and Kuwait's Abdulmalik Hajar.
Neeru joins late Randhir Singh as India's only individual trap gold medallists in Asian Games history, following her World Cup win in Lonato.
