US President Donald Trump announced that German luxury carmaker Audi plans to build a $4 billion assembly plant in Georgia, which is expected to create around 4,500 jobs.
The planned facility will produce 200,000 SUVs annually, with construction slated to begin next year and vehicle production scheduled to start in the early 2030s.
Audi's global sales declined by 7 percent in the first half of 2026, amid rising costs, US tariffs, and strong competition in markets like China.
