The institution has been operating without a permanent principal, with the Chief Education Officer of Kupwara currently holding the position as an additional assignment.

Education Minister Sakina Itoo announced plans to appoint a retired Army officer as the permanent principal to restore the school's traditional focus on military discipline and academic excellence.
