Trump Swaps Planes Amid Iranian Assassination Threats

President Donald Trump secretly switched to an alternate aircraft after returning from a NATO summit in Turkey last month due to credible intelligence of an Iranian missile threat.

The president was transported to the decoy aircraft inside a catering truck to avoid the presidential Air Force One 747 jet, which officials feared was being targeted.

This security measure follows a series of threats, including the March 2026 conviction of Asif Merchant and ongoing charges against Farhad Shakeri for alleged assassination plots linked to the IRGC.
