Delhi Reports Over 1,700 Swine Flu Cases Amid Seasonal Surge

Delhi has recorded more than 1,700 swine flu cases this year, prompting Health Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh to direct government hospitals to ensure adequate treatment facilities are available.

Health officials are scheduled to meet with Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda on August 21, 2026, to review the situation as the capital experiences a surge in seasonal influenza infections.

Medical experts, including Dr. Rishikesh Desai, advise that while most cases are mild, high-risk groups like pregnant women and older adults should seek prompt medical attention for persistent symptoms.
