Researchers published a proof-of-concept study in Nature Medicine showing that a new technique analyzing RNA in urine detected 95 percent of bladder cancer cases.
The study examined samples from 515 cancer patients and healthy individuals, successfully identifying signs of the disease including early-stage cases.
While experts note the test could eventually reduce invasive cystoscopies, further clinical validation in larger populations is required before routine medical use.
