Sebi Chairman Tuhin Kanta Pandey stated that the regulator received over 3,500 public comments on its consultation paper regarding proposed changes to the Closing Auction Session mechanism.
The consultation period closed on October 3, and Sebi is set to quickly compile and analyze feedback to finalise the regulatory framework.
Pandey also emphasized the potential of bond indices and derivatives as major future milestones while discussing efforts with the RBI to ease FPI market access.
