China Confirms President Xi Jinping to Attend BRICS Summit in Delhi

Chinese President Xi Jinping will attend the BRICS Summit in New Delhi on September 12, marking his first visit to India in nearly seven years.

The visit includes a large delegation featuring Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Commerce Minister Wang Wentao, who will hold bilateral discussions with Indian counterparts Piyush Goyal and others.

Both nations aim to manage strategic risks and normalize relations following border tensions that began in April 2020, with officials emphasizing the need for stable, predictable cooperation.
