Joe Root Surpasses Sachin Tendulkar's Test Fifties Record

England captain Joe Root surpassed Sachin Tendulkar's record for most fifties in Test cricket by scoring an unbeaten 62 against Pakistan at Edgbaston on Saturday.

Root's knock helped England chase down a target of 130 to complete a dominant 3-0 series whitewash over Pakistan.

The milestone took Root's Test fifties tally to 69, moving him past Tendulkar's previous record of 68.
