In-form drag-flicker Deepika Sehrawat scored a record nine goals from penalty corners as India thrashed Thailand 20-1 in Pool B of the women's hockey competition.
Rutuja Dadaso Pisal completed a hat-trick while Navneet Kaur, Neha Goyal, Lalremsiami, Sakshi Rana, and Salima Tete also contributed to the scoring.
India leads the Pool B standings with three consecutive wins and will play hosts Japan next on Friday in the 12-team tournament.
