Five Indian nationals aboard the Kuwait-flagged crude oil tanker MT Kazimah III were safely rescued and shifted ashore after the vessel was struck by a projectile in the Strait of Hormuz.
The Embassy of India in Oman coordinated the rescue operation and expressed gratitude to Omani authorities for their continued support and assistance.
The Ministry of External Affairs noted that India monitors the safety of seafarers in the Persian Gulf, where over 4,500 Indian seafarers currently operate on commercial vessels.
