Dissanayake Cites India's Katchatheevu Stance Amid Bilateral Ties

Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake highlighted strong bilateral ties with India during a public rally in the North Western Province.

Dissanayake noted that New Delhi acknowledged before the Supreme Court that Katchatheevu island legally belongs to Sri Lanka.

India's Attorney General informed the top court last week that India does not intend to reopen the 1974 and 1976 maritime agreements.
