School Roof Collapse in Peshawar Kills 34 Students and a Teacher

At least 34 children and a teacher were killed when the roof of a three-storey private school collapsed in Peshawar, Pakistan.

Thirty students were present in classrooms on the upper floor of the Al-Khair School when the structure gave way on Thursday.

Police arrested the school owner over poor construction standards, and provincial authorities ordered an immediate inquiry into the incident.
