Government Cuts Export Duty on Diesel and ATF

In its fortnightly review, the government reduced export levies on diesel and aviation turbine fuel while keeping petrol and domestic excise duties unchanged.

For the fortnight starting October 1, diesel export duty is set at ₹16 per litre and ATF at ₹10.5 per litre, down from ₹20 and ₹15 respectively.

The fortnightly reviews have been conducted since March 27 amid the West Asian conflict to disincentivise exports and ensure domestic retail fuel availability.
