Delhi HC to Hear Swatantra Bhardwaj's Plea Against Arrest

The Delhi High Court agreed to an urgent hearing on September 7 for a habeas corpus petition filed by Hindutva influencer Swatantra Bhardwaj challenging his recent arrest.

Bhardwaj was detained on September 4 in Bulandshahr and is currently in judicial custody following allegations of assaulting a student activist's father during a June 23 protest.

The FIR against Bhardwaj includes charges under the SC/ST Act, criminal intimidation, and the POCSO Act, following his public claims of causing severe injury to the victim.
