Manipuri Music Teacher Killed in Delhi Mob Assault

Chongtham Vikram Singh, a 54-year-old Manipuri music teacher, died after being assaulted by a group of men in Kilokari village, Delhi, on September 7, 2026.

The incident occurred following a dispute over alleged noise caused by delivery workers and dhaba staff, leading to the arrest of eight suspects, including a minor.

Members of the Northeast community and the North East Students’ Society, Delhi University, have demanded a swift investigation into the assault at Sunlight Colony Police Station.
