IndiaAI Mission launches indigenous foundation models EKA-1 and Dhīr

The IndiaAI Mission released indigenous foundation models EKA-1, developed by Soket Labs, and Dhīr 2B and Dhīr 5B, developed by ZenteiQ AiTech Innovations, on Tuesday.

EKA-1 features 26.3 billion parameters, covers 22 scheduled Indian languages plus English, and is capable of local device inferencing without mobile data or WiFi.

ZenteiQ's Dhīr models support English and 10 Indian languages, offering offline-capable, on-premise document-grounded automation for sensitive or low-connectivity environments.
